Hey! The ferry looks like what we called "express boats" - the ones we use to reach to towns upriver and downriver from Sibu. May be made in Sibu, the shipbuilding industry here.

i have not been there for like more than 10 years, and wow, those boats looks so nice now already!! but i guess everything has gone very commercialized now..

The boat looks scary (not safe) to me. :P Hmm.. I am not sure why some ppl can still sustain while the food they served are so bad. :(.
October 18, 2011 9:33 AM
Aikss...the food is not cheap ehh...I think I can get it rather cheaper at Kuala Selangor. Probably it has became one of the favourite spot for local tourists.

I love all the 'fishy-smell' junk food you bought home. I think the price for the seafood is a tad expensive, no?

Hehe, my aunt just told us over the weekend that we should make a trip to Pulau Ketam one day to go makan-makan. I'll remember not to go to that place :)
October 18, 2011 4:04 PM
I agree with you....P. Ketam's restaurant food's taste is nothing to shout about, just so-so only.
October 18, 2011 4:28 PM
I thought the seafood there supposed to be cheap. Was thinking to go Pulau Pangkor but don't know what to do in an island besides snorkelling and go to the beaches.
October 18, 2011 4:31 PM
haha..after reading your post, I'm not that keen to go Pulau Ketam already. But I love those junk food you bought though.
October 18, 2011 5:41 PM

October 18, 2011 7:48 PM
A nice trip....the foodies look good too. I laughed when you mentioned 'for facial exercises' when chewing the sotong goreng! hahaha

Gosh the boat used have certainly inproved! The "ferry" used to be open-air old tug boats that would take an hour just o get to Pulau Ketam, but i think i would have preffered them coz we could feel the the breeze and have better view of the mangrove swamps passed.
P Ketam seafood has always been expensive. That's why I dare not use it as an excuse to invite people to go for a trip there, takut kena belasah! lolz
Nice outing, nice post Alice! :)
